Excursions and meetings with students

ARAKO is a very specific company. After all, manufacturing nuclear valves is not so common. In the Czech Republic, we are even one of the few companies that continues to produce this type of valves. In fact, we can say that we are almost the only ones left in this field and focus.

In addition to the classic communication channels such as social networks, websites, PR articles or media advertising, Exkurze is also the means by which we communicate the ARAKO brand.

Working with students is difficult and “When to start reaching out to potential engineering employees?” is really a 100-point question, but one thing is for sure and that is that face-to-face meetings and personal experience with the atmosphere of companies still works best.

How do the excursions work here?

Each excursion is different and we adapt it to the incoming group in terms of content and themes. That’s why it’s not so boring for us.

In the large meeting room we have a presentation about ARAKO ready for them, where we just very lightly introduce what we do, but mainly we talk to them about what energy is, why it is so important. We ask them what energy sources we have in the world and how energy is produced. We describe to them how a nuclear power plant works and its safety. We show them educational videos from CEZ’s World of Energy channel and our videos of testing and practice.

For the more expert groups, we bother them more with technical terms and practical examples to test their knowledge. As a reward, the groups then take their time to disassemble and assemble our Ball valve C05.1 according to the drawings, and now we also have 3D printed valves for them.

During the presentation we often have lively discussions so that when visitors leave ARAKO they associate our brand with Shell petrol stations, the chimneys and cooling towers of thermal and nuclear power stations and energy itself. They know what a valve is, what flows through it, where it is located, etc.

We enjoy working with children and we know from the feedback from these biggest critics that we do it well.
