For the first stage of the construction of the largest oil terminal PERN in Paland, we delivered 22 pes of Gate Valves ON 800. The Gate Valves were installed on the pipelines of the terminal in the Polish seaport of Gdansk, which is used for transshipment and storage of crude oil, fuel and chemical products. ABOUT THE COMPANY PERN ensures efficient oil logistics and fuel availability throughout Paland. ln August 2021, PERN completed the implementation of one of the key projects that radically strengthen the energy security of oil supply of Paland and the European Union. Currently, PERN has about 4.1 million m3 of storage capacity for crude oil and about 2.4 million m3 for liquid fuels. lt also owns an Oil terminal and offshore fuel hub with a capacity of 36 min tons of crude oil and 4 min tons products oil annually. IMPLEMENTATION OF ARAKO The Gate Valves ON 800 PN 16 are the largest valves ever produced by ARAKO. The gate valves were made of cast carbon material and are operated by a combination of gearbox and electric actuator. They are also equipped with a valve for securing the overpressure in the space above the wedge and at the same time a drainage valve for flushing the interna! parts. The stem is protected by a transparent cover with marking of the individua! positions for opening or closing the gate valve. The height of the gate valve (including the electric actuator) is 4 metres! For ARAKO, participation in this extraordinary project was a challenge, mainly due to the size of the valves produced, to which the company responded adequately and proved that it is still one of the key European players in the field of industrial valves for the petrochemical industry.
