In April, ARAKO (a part of the machinery division of the Rosatom – Atomenergomash Corporation) shipped five models of S43 – high-pressure gate valves to our end customer U. S. Steel Košice. The delivery included DN 350/275 and DN 300/250 sizes of bypass gate valves made of 1.7715 material. The gate valves operate as closing members in the pipeline system of newly built K6 boiler, at working temperature of 540°C and pressure up to 10 MPa.
It is the second time ARAKO has supplied the S43 gate valves for U. S. Steel. The first delivery took a place in February 2015. It included nine gate valves of the identical model intended for the K7 boiler. The boiler has been put into operation since.
„ As a response to the latest trends within energy industry sphere, we started to manufacture S43 high-pressure gate valves in 2012. In terms of design, it is rather a common practice of ours having to solve special customer requirements. We make design modifications of our existing products as much as we develop brand new valves as well“, Martin Klimša, Chief Designer of ARAKO, says.
