On September 6, 2016, a Round Table on “Supplying the construction of the fifth block in the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant in a cooperation with Rosatom” was held in Dukovany. The conference was attended by Mr. Patrik Parikrupa, ARAKO Project Director.

The main objective of the meeting was a presentation of potential suppliers for the future construction of new units in Dukovany, a cooperation between the Russian corporation Rosatom and Czech companies was also discussed. Mr. Leoš Tomíček, vice-president of the company Rusatom Overseas, acquainted the participants with Rosatom´s current and potential projects of nuclear power plants both in Russia and other countries. He pointed out in his presentation that a number of Czech companies had already been participating in the construction of nuclear power plants under the leadership of Rosatom. And ARAKO is one of the most important – it has been delivering the valves for nuclear power plants of the Russian type for decades.

“I find our participation in meetings of this sort very necessary. ARAKO is a traditional manufacturer and supplier of industrial valves and a strong player in the domestic market. The intended completion of the Dukovany NPP could mean a sufficient amount of work for several years for us, that´s why we are very pleased about the interest in the completion shown by all participants of the conference,” said Patrik Parikrupa, representative of ARAKO, about conclusion of the Round Table in Dukovany.
