Company ARAKO attended a meeting of representatives of engineering companies from the Opava region and students of SŠT (Technical Secondary School Opava). The meeting was called Engineers to Engineers and took place on March 16, 2016. ŠT Opava invited representatives of 20 important engineering companies from the region to contact its students with companies in which they could perform their practical trainings or find their future jobs.

The ARAKO´s Human Resource Department more and more faces problems consisting in the shortage of skilled labour force in the labour market. And the demand for skilled labour force is large. „We are trying to solve the problem by preventing it – we participate in the professional education of our future employees as early as they attend schools. We have been cooperating with the Technical Secondary School Opava and VŠB-Technical University Ostrava in a long term.

We are trying to attract students by our participation in projects that take places at the schools, offering practical trainings in the manufacture, announcing thesis topics and cooperating in thesis elaborations.“ Pavlína Koligová, Human Resource Director of ARAKO, says and adds: “The demand for skilled mechanical engineers is large in our company – we are planning to recruit 10 new workers this year. However, there is a shortage of skilled applicants in the labour market. I hope the enlightenment and support of schools will contribute to a revitalization of the labour market.”
