The company ARAKO (belongs to the engineering division of the corporation Rosatom – Atomenergomash), a traditional manufacturer of industrial valves from Opava and major regional employer, encourages young mechanical engineers to study and above all to work in engineering. “We are continuing and intensifying our cooperation with technical schools, particularly with Secondary Technical School in Opava. We take on school-leavers, offer practical trainings in the manufacture, participate in campaigns to promote the interest in studies of engineering disciplines. That is how we try to prevent the lack of skilled manpower in the labor market,” said Pavlina Koligová, Human Resources Director of ARAKO.

Pavlina Koligová says further: “Our efforts have already borne fruit – since April 2016, we took on 14 new employees. In September, 4 students started their practical training, we prepared for them a plan of training, including incentive plan.” Students of the third year of Secondary Technical School in Opava are expected to work in the production every second week of the school year, they will undergo the training at four workplaces. They will learn to operate the modern machinery and equipment in 2,5-month cycles and if they achieve good results, they will be able to increase their wages during the practical training.

Human Resources Director of the company ARAKO emphasizes: “Working in the production is very interesting and varied. I believe that we can attract young people and offer them a quality job in a team of experts. In the manufacturing, the students acquire the necessary skills. With diligence and determination they can work their way up and who knows, maybe work in a senior position one day. There are opportunities in our factory and we always lend our employees a hand to grow their professionalism.”
