ARAKO spol. s r.o. (part of machinery division of Rosatom – Atomenergomash Corporation) has qualified as a supplier of industrial valves to Hanhikivi NPP development project. The Supply Agreement for auxiliary equipment to Hanhikivi NPP has been signed in December last year and followed by customer’s audit together with further qualification relating steps within project compliance. „We‘re continuously working according to project schedule with our full focus on technical issues at the moment,‘‘ says Julia Dolgusheva, Executive Director of ARAKO.
Hanhikivi NPP-1 will be equipped with VVER-1200 reactor unit made in Russia with planned startup in 2024. The plant site on the coastal municipality of Pyhäjoki district. The project follows MAGATE AND EUR standards and will be adapted to national Finnish safety requirements which are supposedly said to be one of the most restrictive worlwide.
